How the Sessions are Conducted

Our rehearsals/classes begin promptly at 7:00pm.

Our Monday evening rehearsals often include sight-reading, an important component of our educational goal—it promotes rhythmic understanding, hand-eye coordination, and sets the focus for each session. This is not specifically a performing organization, although we do use performances as a goal for our rehearsing. Each session works counting skills, following skills, hearing skills, and there is a bit of history or theory thrown in for good measure
What is Expected of you

It is expected that you arrive in a timely manner, with your music and music stand, and having practiced your part to the best of your ability-time constraints.

Our expectation is progress, not perfection.

We know that some weeks there is more practice time than others, and our experience is that each person in the group brings something each session, and each performance.

The most important thing each person brings to each rehearsal is focus and attention, because that is where real progress is achieved
